Treasurer Jenna presented the recommendation and said it was intended to cover estimated payments (she cited an estimated liability figure in the meeting) and noted the fund normally keeps a balance of about $130,000. The motion to transfer $285,000 passed on a recorded roll-call vote.
The board also approved budget and revenue revisions that included an increase in the general fund of about $69,000 (to account for the transfer and projected pipeline-related transfers into the capital fund), adjustments to appropriations and updates to federal and state grant line items. Administration highlighted a $9,200 agricultural-education grant the district received and noted an unsuccessful application for a larger CP grant.
As part of the consent agenda the board approved personnel items including certified and classified retirements, resignations, hires, transfers and supplemental assignments; the meeting record shows approval of hiring a new girls head softball coach (Mr. Nick D).
