Committee members discussed seeking in‑kind donations from local nurseries and builders, using high‑school volunteers for distribution tasks if needed, and pursuing Beacon coverage as a lower-cost promotional option: a half-page, two-run ad in the Beacon was cited at about $850.
Event logistics noted in the meeting include providing 10 trash cans and five recycling containers at the site, asking vendors and volunteers to collect simple data on how attendees learned about the event, and confirming that sponsorships could cover advertising if council approval is obtained for reallocated funds. Staff said sponsorship follow-up and application collection are underway and that Amy will circulate an editable application to working volunteers for outreach.
