The presenter said the school moved from targeted supports (TSI) into comprehensive targeted supports and aims to raise subgroup proficiency and overall student growth by the end of the 2024–25 school year.
The district will contract with WestEd for professional development and coaching: six site visits of two days each to focus on classroom instruction and teacher capacity, the presenter said. The district also named an ADE representative, Mrs. Jones, who will perform virtual and in-person check-ins; Ken Rous (ADE) was mentioned as assisting with site visits and reporting.
Key priorities are to strengthen tier-one instruction across classrooms, improve collaborative practices, and monitor interventions for students with disabilities. The presenter said the school rose from about 15% proficiency to about 20–21% but remained short of a 22% cutoff used in the state’s three-year review cycle. The district will monitor ISL growth data and provide biweekly reports to the support team.
Board members thanked staff for the presentation and for the transparency of the planned supports; no formal vote was required on the presentation.
