The Board of Mayor and Aldermen reviewed two ordinance readings during its Feb. 26 workshop.
On second reading, Ordinance 2026-3 would amend Titles 7 and 12 of the Lever Municipal Code to adopt the 2024 editions of multiple International Codes — including the 2024 International Fire Code, Building Code, Plumbing Code, Fuel Gas Code, Energy Conservation Code, Mechanical Code, Residential Code, Property Maintenance Code, and Existing Building Code — and amend Title 13 regarding property-maintenance regulations. The Chair presented the ordinance and asked for questions; none were raised during the workshop.
The board also took up second reading of Ordinance 2026-04 to amend the city’s rules for mobile food trucks (Title 9, Chapter 9). The Chair noted the item had been discussed at an earlier meeting and invited comments; no substantive questions or amendments were recorded in the workshop transcript.
Both ordinances remained at their respective reading stages in the meeting record; the workshop transcript does not show final adoption votes for these ordinances.
