Applicant withdraws Frisco Street sewer access request after resident questions; council to postpone indefinitely

At the start of the pre-council meeting, staff reported that the applicant had withdrawn a request to access a sanitary sewer manhole in the alley at 905 and 909 Frisco Street and recommended postponing the item indefinitely.
Resident Shannon Tindle signed in and identified herself, saying she has lived on Irving behind the site for nearly 28 years and is "emotionally invested" in the process. She asked whether sewer capacity had been studied to ensure the system could handle additional waste if the site were developed. Staff replied that Jefferson County confirms capacity when sanitary sewer taps are paid.
Council members also discussed the site topography and the narrow segment of Frisco Street, noting steep drop-offs and limited roadway width that could complicate garbage service and emergency access if the number of homes on the street increased. No formal action to approve a sewer connection was taken; the council agreed to postpone the matter indefinitely following the applicant’s withdrawal.
