The City Council unanimously approved a first amendment to the City Manager's employment agreement July 15 that provides a 4% cost-of-living adjustment and a 5% merit increase tied to a highly favorable performance rating.
Frank Lee, the city's HR/Risk Manager, presented the proposed amendment and said it aligns with the city's executive compensation practices and the executive leadership group's standards. Council members praised the city manager's leadership and the unanimous roll-call vote approved the amendment without further amendments.
The city attorney noted the personnel action was the product of the council's review process and closed session evaluation earlier in the meeting; the amendment becomes effective immediately per the terms presented.
