The Brandon Valley School District 49-2 Board of Education opened its regular meeting by swearing in two newly elected members and selecting its leadership for the year.
Business manager Mr Lumber administered the oath of office to Greg OD and Nick Scott, who were sworn in after being elected without opposition. Superintendent Larson then opened nominations for board officers. Renee Olam was nominated and, with no other nominations and a motion to cast a unanimous ballot, was elected board president. The board then unanimously elected Greg OD as vice president following a first and second.
The board approved the meeting agenda and proceeded with routine business, including consent items and minutes approvals. All votes recorded in the meeting minutes were carried by voice vote with no recorded opposition.
The board scheduled its next business actions and asked staff to proceed on the items discussed during the meeting.
