Uptown Butte BID sets April 9 community meeting, readies April 22 clean-up and outreach plan

The Uptown Butte Business Improvement District Board of Directors on March 26 finalized planning details for a community meeting set for April 9, 2026 and outlined promotion for an April 22 community clean-up.
Board members agreed on an outreach mix including email, social media, website announcements, printed flyers, radio and newspaper listings. The board plans to coordinate promotion with partner organizations including Butte-Silver Bow, Uptown Main Street, the Chamber of Commerce and the Butte Local Development Corporation.
The April 9 meeting will open with introductions and a brief presentation on BID initiatives, then move to breakout discussion stations focused on marketing, district mapping and placemaking, safety and cleanliness, and long-term visioning. Materials planned include updated district maps, budget visuals, sign-in sheets, feedback forms and voting tools. Attendees will be encouraged to provide written feedback and participate in interactive planning activities.
The board also discussed volunteer recruitment for an April 22 community clean-up and assigned roles: Shanna Adams will facilitate the April 9 meeting; board members will manage sign-in and event setup starting at 3:00 PM; and Cassie Wick will coordinate media and photography with the social media contractor.
During public comment, attendee Myles Stricker said he has been coordinating with Butte-Silver Bow Parks & Recreation, ADA staff, the Department of Transportation and Public Works about installing planters in the Uptown District. The board scheduled its next regular meeting for April 1, 2026 at 11:00 AM.
