Redevelopment commission files TIF annual report, approves routine business and claims

The Lawrenceburg Redevelopment Commission on May 11 received and approved its annual tax-increment financing (TIF) pass-through report — Resolution No. 1-2026 — which the presenter said showed no pass-through payment proposed at this time. The commission also heard the redevelopment fund balance and approved routine business including minutes and claims.

Mister Messmore presented the pass-through report and said, "This is just an annual report, that's required for us to present to the community regarding our TIF funds and how they're allocated. In this case, there is no pass through proposed." Earlier in the meeting the clerk reported the redevelopment fund balance: "As of 05/04/2026, the balance for redevelopment is $1,585,573.34."

Commissioners moved to approve Resolution No. 1-2026; the motion was seconded and the chair called for the ayes. The board approved the resolution by voice vote. The commission also moved to approve the prior meeting's minutes and to approve claims "once properly certified;" both motions were carried by voice vote during the session. No public comments were recorded.

Messmore noted there was nothing additional to add on the Main Street report and said the commission "may shuffle some money around" at a future meeting if required. The commission set a civic park pavilion grand-opening event for June 6 at 9 a.m. and invited members to attend. The meeting proceeded to a motion for adjournment after brief closing remarks.
