The Lawrenceburg Redevelopment Commission voted May 11 to approve a sign and parking easement that will allow parts of adjacent redevelopment property to be used for parking and for installation of a sign tied to the Flareden Collins senior housing project.
Mister Weldon, who introduced the easement on behalf of the project, told the board, "What you have in your packets is a proposed sign and parking easement. This is an easement to allow the use of certain parts of the surrounding greater redevelopment property that is the site of the Flareden Collins senior housing project to be used for parking and also for the installation of a sign." He added that the project has secured tax-credit financing and that "we expect to close on the nineteenth of this month, so it's coming up real quick."
The easement was presented as one of the final items needed to complete project closing. After brief questions from commissioners, a motion to approve the easement was made, seconded and the chair called for the ayes; the motion passed. The board did not record a roll-call tally in the transcript beyond the oral 'Aye' responses.
Board members indicated the remaining documents tied to the sale, purchase and tax-credit closing would be handled as routine items necessary for finalizing the transaction.
The immediate effect of the approved easement is to permit the developer to use specified redevelopment parcels for parking and to install project signage ahead of the scheduled closing on May 19, 2026. The commission did not record additional conditions or a formal amendment to the sale agreement during the meeting.
