At bid opening, the board reviewed three bidders: K & K Roofing (total bid $665,485), Metalworks of Montana (total bid $619,245), and TCS Northwest (total bid $473,787). Commissioners discussed that the base bid covered roofing and window work, Alternate 1 covered dome window work, and Alternate 2 covered additional masonry work. The board considered spreading payments across fiscal years 2026 and 2027 to manage cost and noted bid validity periods would need to be observed.
Commissioner Adler moved to conditionally award the roofing project to TCS Northwest pending confirmation of funding availability; Commissioner McLure seconded and the motion passed unanimously. Commissioners said they would continue reviewing the budget and return the matter to a future agenda for additional public comment and funding decisions.
The conditional award leaves final contract execution subject to confirmation of available funds and any further budget-stage approvals.
