County staff report full cycle of bridge inspections, flag new 'Bridge 45' discovered in park

During a review of pedestrian structures the inspection team found a previously undocumented bridge used by vehicles in a park; staff said they will refer to it internally as "Bridge 45," notify the city and the city fire department, and search for original plans. Depending on whether plans are located and on inspection findings, the county may require load postings or other restrictions.
The commissioner presiding thanked staff and asked that the county keep the public and the city informed as the inspection results are finalized. The county emphasized the inspections are part of the biennial/bannual program and that marked USI vehicles in the field do not necessarily indicate immediate repair work, only inspection activity.
