The Traffic & Parking Commission voted to defer consideration of a recommendation to Metro Council on ordinance BL2026‑1255, which would regulate sandwich‑board signage, for one month.
Brad Fes, a Nashville Department of Transportation staff member, said the department is coordinating with the sponsoring council member (Huffman) and has incorporated changes the commission requested in earlier meetings. Staff requested a one‑month deferral to continue discussions and finalize language.
The commission moved, seconded and approved a one‑month deferral by voice vote, without recorded roll call. Staff said they will continue to coordinate language and return at the next meeting for recommendation.
