At its meeting the Wapello County Board of Supervisors approved a series of routine resolutions and an officer-training contract.
The board approved Resolution 8-2026 establishing utility values by township and Resolution 9-2026 transferring funds from the general supplemental fund to the health fund. Supervisors also approved a reimbursement/training agreement with Tatton Ricard for deputy/officer training; participants described the contract amount as "just under $7,500," and the board voted to approve.
The board approved a compensation and assignment of a county health tax-sale certificate for Dominique McCormick after correcting paperwork from a prior meeting. Separately, following a proposal from John Morland the board approved renaming the main courtroom for Judge Dory and agreed to plan a public ceremony and advertise the event.
All items were passed by voice votes and staff were directed to complete the necessary administrative follow-up, such as recording the rezoning and scheduling the courthouse ceremony.
These routine approvals accompany the board's adoption of the FY2026-27 budget earlier in the meeting.
