Maintenance reported extensive storm response since early February: staff responded to dozens of roof leaks across multiple campuses and performed emergency drying and temporary repairs. Christopher High School’s Building E suffered multiple water entry points that affected several rooms; staff have abated water intrusion, moved impacted classes and are seeking quotes for permanent repairs and roof replacement.
The board also approved a contract amendment with Effective School Solutions to add two full‑time, non‑clinical wellness coaches (for Christopher High and Brownell Middle School), increasing the previous contract by $280,000 to a not‑to‑exceed $600,000. Director of Student Services Anna Poo described the wellness‑center staffing models and grant sources used to fund wellness personnel districtwide.
Finally, the board approved resolutions to solicit bids for the Luigi AA walk‑in freezer, Mount Madonna fire‑alarm upgrade and transportation/maintenance yard restroom project by roll‑call vote.
