Gym closure trims ECCL rental revenue by about $30,000, staff say
Summary
Rebecca Simeno told the committee the gym has been closed since March 23, leading staff to revise third‑party rental revenue projections from about $220,000 to $195,000 and file an insurance claim; staff will provide concrete lost‑revenue numbers to adjusters.

Rebecca Simeno reported that third‑party rental revenue this year was expected to reach about $220,000 but that the gym closure (closed since March 23) will reduce revenues by approximately $30,000.
"We are expecting a loss of approximately $30,000 in revenue," Simeno said, adding that staff has filed an insurance claim and is working with adjusters Keenan and DHA. She said staff provided weekly lost‑revenue numbers to the adjuster and that reimbursement for lost revenue remains possible pending the adjuster’s determination.
Committee members asked whether lost revenue would be recovered and whether staff had provided a concrete number; staff confirmed they had submitted weekly estimates and said the $30,000 figure might be recoverable through insurance.
No public comment was received on the item and the committee did not take any separate additional action on the rental revenue item at this meeting.
