Council OKs up to $10,000 to hire project manager for Tyler Technologies police reporting

The Brookshire City Council voted May 7 to hire a project manager to support implementing Tyler Technologies software for police reporting.
Staff said the police department previously used a different vendor (Southern Software) and that consolidating administrative systems on Tyler Technologies required IT work the city prefers to outsource to a project manager. Council approved an amount not to exceed $10,000 and authorized the mayor and city secretary to execute any necessary agreements.
A motion to approve the hire and contract authorization was seconded and approved by voice vote with no opposition recorded.
