County weed-control staff explained that the sprayer’s hours and pay must be tracked separately to qualify for grant reimbursement; commissioners discussed scheduling to ensure the sprayer can meet a 32–hour county work requirement while also performing seasonal spray hours. Denita moved to set the wage at $35 per hour for the spray season; Rex seconded, and the motion passed by voice vote.
Staff will track the sprayer’s hours separately (county time and seasonal spray time) and process reimbursement through the grant programs that cover seasonal labor costs.
