Shenandoah County Electoral Board approves Dec. 8 minutes and elects officers

At its Jan. 8 meeting the Shenandoah County Electoral Board approved the Dec. 8, 2025 minutes and, under Code of Virginia §24.2-107, elected Denise Doyle as chair, Beverly Harrison as vice chair and Gayle Wellard as secretary.
Gayle Wellard, chair of the Shenandoah County Electoral Board, called the board to order at 9:32 a.m. on Jan. 8, 2026. Present were Beverly Harrison and Denise Doyle; Lisa W. McDonald, the county’s General Registrar, attended as a guest.
During the meeting Secretary Denise Doyle moved to approve the minutes of the Dec. 8, 2025 meeting “as presented.” The motion was seconded by Chair Gayle Wellard and carried unanimously.
As required by Code of Virginia §24.2-107, the Board held its election of officers for the electoral term. The minutes record that the officers duly nominated and elected were Denise Doyle as chair, Beverly Harrison as vice chair and Gayle Wellard as secretary.
The Board confirmed its regular meeting schedule: the first Thursday of each month at 10:00 a.m., unless changed with appropriate public notice. The meeting adjourned at 10:35 a.m.; the next regular meeting is scheduled for Feb. 5, 2026 at 10:00 a.m.
