The Solon Board of Education on May 11 voted to approve payment of bills totaling $238,775.44, the treasurer said, noting the "bulk of this is a payment to Infinity Construction for the high school natatorium restoration project" and that the payment covers invoices 10 and 11.
The treasurer told the board there remains a balance yet to be paid on the project but that principal completion is finished. "We believe we're going to have people in the water as early as June 1," the treasurer said, adding that pool staff and the pool manager are preparing to resume activities.
The payment was approved by roll call. The board did not change the project scope at the meeting; officials indicated further payments will be processed as remaining invoices are submitted.
