Commissioners authorize detention‑center communications agreement and addendum to CentralSquare interlocal

Detention Center Director Sara Stenger told the Seward County Board on May 5 that a finalized Audio & Video Applications Services Agreement with Cidnet/Encartele required additional language about equipment specifications; the board authorized the Chair to sign the updated agreement.
Sheriff’s Office Operations Manager Blair Yoder presented Addendum #4 to the CentralSquare Technologies interlocal agreement to add Fillmore County as a party and discussed the status of the existing interlocal as it approaches expiration at the end of May. The board authorized the Chair to sign the addendum and separately authorized a related agreement granting CentralSquare permission to allow access for Fillmore County.
Both actions were approved by unanimous votes. The board noted the Saline County Attorney is drafting a replacement interlocal agreement to be circulated to participating entities for review before the existing agreement expires.
