Staff responded that the larger Granite Avenue/Race Street stormwater project remains in process and that permanent improvements are planned as part of that project. Town staff said they would follow up with Artesian regarding the quality of restoration and communication to affected residents.
Earlier in the meeting, Cpl. Tyler Price of the Sheriff's Office reported ongoing attention to tractor-trailer routing issues near Craigtown Road and noted deputies responded to parking complaints; Price requested town parking citation books for deputies and staff agreed to provide them. Council asked for continued monitoring of parking on Granite Street and Race Street.
Public Works and Code Administrator Dan Jamison also reported a stop-work order at 22 Race Street and described ongoing maintenance and cleanup. The minutes do not specify a timetable for the stormwater project or when permanent repairs on Race Street will be completed.
