The Richland County Campus Reconfiguration Committee restarted its election process after early audio and muting problems and then confirmed a quorum before proceeding. The clerk called the meeting to order at 4:11 p.m. and completed roll call to verify five members present in person and one member online.
With nominations open for committee chair, Angel Perry nominated Randy School; with no other nominations the committee moved to close nominations and cast a unanimous ballot for Randy School. Following that vote, members nominated and unanimously approved Dave Kirk as vice chair.
The re-run of the elections came after participants reported they were only partially unmuted at the session start and staff suggested repeating the roll call and election to ensure correct procedure. The clerk had earlier read the meeting notice and confirmed open meeting law posting to the clerk's office, courthouse bulletin board and the county website.
After the organizational votes, the committee proceeded to routine business including approval of March 5 minutes and administrator reports. The committee scheduled a follow-up, on-site meeting for June 3 at 4:00 p.m. to review campus phasing and logistics ahead of contractor mobilization.
