Pueblo County School District 70’s board approved the district’s 2024–25 adopted budget and a supplemental budget for fiscal year 2024 at the June 27 special meeting.
Staff told the board the adopted 2024–25 budget incorporates changes related to a compensation package the board approved on June 18. The supplemental budget for FY24 adjusts revenue and expense lines to accept additional funds the district received this year, including donations and scholarships that were not anticipated when the main budget was adopted.
A board member asked about a referenced amount of approximately $260,000; staff explained the supplemental budget must show both revenue and associated expenses so those monies are properly recorded and the district remains in compliance with state budget rules. Staff said specific uses of those funds are donations and scholarships to schools and that detailed allocations were not yet itemized in the supplemental documents presented.
The board voted to approve the adopted budget, the supplemental budget (including a private purpose trust fund, Fund 72), and the consent agenda; each motion was seconded and recorded as carried.
