The Carrolton Village Council unanimously approved an ordinance to provide cost-of-living adjustments for specified village employees at its Nov. 10 meeting.
Mayor William J. Stoneman introduced Ordinance O#2025-34 and Councilor Tangler moved to waive the three readings required for nonemergency ordinances. Councilor Parker seconded the motion. The council also scheduled interviews for the Village Administrator position for the coming Thursday beginning at 3:00 p.m.; the mayor said 3–4 candidates will be interviewed.
Other routine financial business at the meeting included approval of the bills for payment and a separate vote to pay bills without prior certification; both motions passed by roll call vote 5-0.
The meeting proceeded to an executive session later in the evening to discuss possible land purchase and contract negotiations and reconvened before adjourning at 7:48 p.m.
