Commissioners thanked planning staff for their support and several members offered brief farewell remarks. Commissioner Strait said serving on the commission had been an honor and thanked colleagues and staff; other commissioners echoed appreciation for the planning department’s work and for Lori (staff support) who assisted meeting logistics.
Appleby read a proclamation from Mayor Suzanne Lafrance recognizing the commission’s cumulative service and noting the Urban Design Commission will be sunsetted as of May 31, 2026. Staff distributed proclamations to commissioners and indicated a small reception would follow.
The meeting adjourned at 8:03 p.m.; staff noted a special meeting will be scheduled to finalize resolutions and minutes from the commission’s final session.
