The Carrolton Village Council voted unanimously on March 9 to ask the village solicitor to draft an ordinance that would consolidate the Rite Aid building into a single parcel and approved several routine motions.
Mayor William J. Stoneman presented the request for an ordinance; Council member Locke moved that the solicitor prepare the ordinance and Council member Tangler seconded. The roll-call vote was 5-0 in favor.
The council also approved the minutes from the previous meeting after a motion by Council member Locke and a second from Council member Barto; the motion passed 5-0. The council approved payment of bills following a motion by Council member Locke, seconded by Council member Tangler (5-0). Separately, Council member Barto moved to approve payment of bills without prior certification; Council member Lambert seconded and the vote was 5-0.
At the start of the meeting Council member Barto moved to excuse Council member Parker; Council member Butterfield seconded and that motion carried on a 5-0 roll-call vote. The meeting adjourned at 7:35 p.m. after a motion from Council member Locke, seconded by Council member Tangler, which also passed 5-0.
