Brook Park council approves joining ODOT salt consortium

Beyer said the city had supply challenges earlier in the season but currently has adequate inventory to start operations. Council moved the item onto the agenda and voted to adopt the resolution after suspension of the rules.
Council members offered no substantive amendments; the resolution was recorded as passed on a roll call. The measure authorizes the mayor to sign the consortium contract when appropriate and does not itself appropriate funds; salt purchases will proceed under the city’s procurement and budget processes.
