Staff schedules May outreach for West Broadway project and comprehensive plan

Staff provided several scheduling and outreach updates related to planning for West Broadway and the city’s comprehensive plan.
Planning staff (Doug) said the Community Development Authority (CDA) will meet to continue negotiations on the West Broadway project with developer Steve Doran, and that a certified survey map (CSM) will return to plan commission. He announced an additional meeting on May 26 at 6 p.m. (the Tuesday after Memorial Day) to consider the PIP for phase 1 and the CSM. He also invited members and the public to a comprehensive-plan public meeting across the street at the community center, scheduled for Wednesday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., and said an online 30-day survey will launch the following day.
"This is going to be a really good opportunity for the public to weigh in," Doug said, and asked members to share the meeting notice with neighbors and networks.
No decisions were made; the updates were informational and focused on public engagement and scheduling. Staff said the June 8 plan-commission meeting will be cancelled.
