Separately, the commission approved buying a 325‑gallon back trailer for public works at $187,000 to be paid from fund balance and split between fund 102 and fund 103. Staff said the purchase will increase crew flexibility and reduce recurring rental costs.
Next steps: City manager was authorized to execute procurement documents and staff will proceed with vendor contracts and financing arrangements.
