Council renews interlocal stormwater agreement with Davis County

The Bountiful City Council unanimously approved Resolution 2026‑08 on May 12 to adopt an updated interlocal cooperation agreement with Davis County and the county’s cities to coordinate implementation of the Utah Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (UPDES) stormwater permit.
Todd Christensen, who presented the item, said the state issues a general stormwater discharge permit to municipalities and that Bountiful and other Davis County cities have collaborated for years on shared responsibilities. The updated interlocal agreement continues that cooperation, enabling cost sharing for education, training and other permit‑required activities.
There were no substantive questions from council members and the resolution was adopted by unanimous vote.
What’s next: staff will execute the interlocal agreement and continue cooperative permit compliance activities countywide.
