Council approved resolution 26‑028 to award the 2025 Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) construction contract to Concrete Experts LLC for curb, sidewalk, curb-and-gutter and ADA improvements on Luna Drive in the Fountain/Fort Carson area. Staff said the project is funded through CDBG — federal funds routed through the county and targeted to low‑income census tracts — and that although the award is labeled 2025 the construction is planned for 2026.
The mayor and council recorded the motion and approved the contract by voice vote. Staff indicated this will likely be the final CDBG-funded construction project focused on that area before funds are spread to other eligible neighborhoods.
What happens next: Staff will finalize contract documents with Concrete Experts LLC and schedule the 2026 construction work in coordination with county CDBG administration.
