Director Chamberlain told the board the hearing's purpose was to confirm costs incurred after property owners failed to correct violations; property owners were notified and given appeal rights. Staff asked the board to withdraw two items (identified as F and R) from the cost-confirmation list due to a fiscal adjustment. No owners appeared to protest at the hearing, and the board moved and approved staff's recommendation to confirm the reported costs.
Chamberlain noted that if confirmed costs remain unpaid after 10 days they may be placed as special assessments on the property tax roll to recover general-fund expenses related to the abatements.
