Hillsborough board spotlights career and technical education winners across CTE, FBLA, HOSA and TSA

Christopher, director of Career and Technical Education, presented a large slate of winners May 12 from career and technical competitions across the district, including Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA), Health Occupations Students of America (HOSA), Technology Students Association (TSA), FFA and other CTE categories. Winners named included first-place finishers in categories such as graphic design, cybersecurity, video production, culinary skills and robotics, and several students received scholarships totaling up to $20,000.
Christopher invited multiple school teams and advisors to the dais for group photos and highlighted that winners will advance to state and national showcases, including a student who will represent the district at the national Network for Teaching Entrepreneurship (NIFTY) showcase in New York. The presentations emphasized the range of CTE pathways—business, health, industrial trades, engineering and technology—and thanked principals, advisors and community partners for supporting students.
The recognition was ceremonial; no formal board votes or budget actions were taken during the presentation.
