The Mainland Planning Commission on May 5 approved SP‑26‑2, a site plan for a grocery‑anchored retail center at 7215 Golden Isles Parkway, by a 6–0 vote.
Planning staff told commissioners the revised plan incorporates feedback from a traffic impact study that adjusted driveway alignment and added left‑ and right‑turn lane improvements. The application lists Bluewater Civil Design as agent for Unity Fund LLC, the property owner.
"Staff has done a tremendous job and the applicant as well coordinating this feedback from the traffic impact study into the revised site plan," said Miss Wright of the planning staff during the presentation. Rick Reberg, a civil engineer with Bluewater Civil Design, told the commission the project is intended to be a traditional, full‑service grocery and said, "It's proposed to be a food line." No members of the public spoke in opposition during the hearing.
The parcel is described in the staff packet as parcel 03‑200024 within a plan development zoning district. Staff provided a wetlands delineation, elevations and a site survey in the packet; the commission considered those materials and voted to approve the site plan as submitted.
The approval clears the project to proceed to the next design and permitting steps required by Glynn County.
