Members approve version 3.3 after clarifying hospital-budget language

Members approved “version 3.3” in a roll-call vote after the chair clarified that the language was not intended to alter hospital budget orders.

"I want to be very clear. We heard a concern with some people that were reading the language that there might have been confusion about the 3.5 in addition to the hospital budget orders, but that is not the intent or the language," the chair said, adding that the measure should be treated as in addition to budget orders when establishing fiscal year 2027 budgets.

A committee member then moved, "I move we move 190 John 3.3." The clerk called the roll and recorded the following responses: Quit — yes; Alan — yes; Goldman — yes; Lauren — yes; Aaron Leers — yes; Powers — yes; Dave — yes; Taylor — no; Rebecca — yes; Was a book — yes.
