Staff reported the city issued an RFP for airport management services and received one response from Mory Airplane Company.
Commissioner Charles moved to recommend acceptance of Mory Airplane Company’s proposal to the finance and personnel committee and the common council. Commissioners said they found the applicant’s experience and local engagement persuasive and noted that, in general, reissuing an RFP is only typical when no qualified responses are received. The commission approved the recommendation by voice vote; the matter will advance to the finance and personnel committee and then to the full council for contract approval.
What’s next: If the common council approves, staff will draft a services contract and return with a schedule and reporting requirements to the commission and council.
