At its monthly meeting the Carlisle Local School District Board of Education approved a slate of administrative contracts, personnel changes and routine finance items after roll-call votes.
The board unanimously approved minutes from the March 23 regular meeting and the April 15 special meeting, and accepted the financial report. Mrs. Miller moved to approve the minutes; Mrs. Morris seconded the motion and board members voted in favor during roll call.
On personnel items the board approved administrative contracts that include appointing Mr. Milner as superintendent effective Aug. 1 and three-year contracts for multiple administrators. The board also accepted the resignation of Terry Boy, approved classified employment including Karen Barker, and ratified supplemental coaching and activity contracts (including hires and track contract adjustments). The board approved the addendum accepting the resignation of fifth-grade teacher Heather Moles at the end of the school year.
A separate personnel action recorded the board’s recommendation to terminate Jo Macintosh as a subcustodian effective April 27, 2026; the motion to recommend termination was moved and seconded and carried by roll call. Several employment approvals for coaches and supplemental positions were also approved by vote.
The board discussed summer-school applications and staffing and approved adding a middle-school resource intervention specialist to the staffing plan, tied to growing enrollment and program needs. Several action items (policy second readings, the Warren County Educational Career Center contract for FY2027, and summer-school positions) were also approved.
The meeting record shows roll-call votes for each motion with the responding board members recorded as voting yes; no recorded no or abstain votes appear in the transcript for the items that passed. The meeting moved on after votes to other agenda items and adjourned at 6:32 p.m.
Next steps identified in the meeting: the district will implement approved summer-school positions and administrative contracts on their stated effective dates; the board will carry forward procedural follow-up items noted by staff.
