“Some in district, but you know, some’s got two,” staff said when describing the selection process; commissioners confirmed staff prioritized roads contiguous to active contract areas to keep mobilization efficient.

The work session also focused on drainage and cross‑drain problems exposed by heavy rain. Staff and commissioners discussed a systematic inventory and inspection cadence, recommending integration with mowing crews and the use of slip‑lining (PVC liners) for corrugated metal culverts to extend service life without full excavation.

A separate, time‑sensitive repair to Locktown Road was presented as an emergency candidate for flowable‑fill repair; one bid was reported at roughly $73,100 for localized stabilization without full roadway excavation.

Commissioners directed staff to return a final recommended road‑add list and to place the paving additions on the next meeting agenda for a formal vote; they also asked staff to develop an inspection and prioritization matrix for culverts and small bridges.
