A staff member for the commission told commissioners the captain posting produced a single qualified applicant, Jeremy Towery, who provided a cover letter and resume and was interviewed by HR and staff. “He’s prepared to take on the role as Captain and I think he’s perfectly suited for the position,” the staff member said, recommending the commission approve the April 3, 2026 eligibility list for promotional testing for captain.
