Solanco SD board tables proposed final budget until next meeting

At the April 20 meeting the Solanco SD board voted to table the district’s proposed final budget and take up the item at the next scheduled meeting.
Mrs. Tucker told the board she needed to provide ‘‘a little more information’’ before the district is ready to finalize the budget, and board members moved and seconded a motion to table the agenda item. The chair called for the vote and the motion carried by voice vote.
The budget item was initially placed on the agenda as item 6.5 and will be the subject of further review; administrators did not provide a finalized budget document that passed at this meeting. Several routine finance reports (general fund, capital project fund, cafeteria fund and activity/athletic reports) were presented and approved earlier in the meeting.
The board did not set a specific new date for final consideration; the district indicated the item will reappear on a future agenda after staff provide the requested additional detail.
