Milligville council adopts copier lease, grants easements, approves alcohol licenses and confirms reappointments

Each resolution was introduced by caption, moved and seconded, and adopted by roll-call vote.
- Alcohol licenses: The council approved an application by Sweetie Patel on behalf of Demaya 19 LLC (101 South Wayne Street) for beer retail (package-to-go) and an application by Krishna Devi on behalf of Harry Lart LLC (1210 South Wayne Street) for beer and wine retail (package-to-go). Both applications were approved following motions and roll-call votes.
- Reappointments: The council confirmed the reappointment of Colonel John Alton to the Planning and Zoning Board and confirmed the reappointment of Brian Milner to the Allied Arts Board. Both nominations were moved, seconded and confirmed by roll-call vote.
Vote form and attendance: For each item the clerk called the roll and members responded in the affirmative as recorded during the meeting; the presiding official declared each motion carried. The meeting record shows the presence of multiple council members for each vote.
What’s next: With these approvals in place, the city will proceed with executing the copier lease, recording the easement documents for the affected properties, issuing the granted alcohol licenses and completing the confirmed board appointments. The council did not schedule additional action on these items during the meeting.
