The Will County Board approved a package of road-related contracts and professional services agreements and authorized two appropriations for right-of-way acquisition.
Contract awards confirmed by the board included: Austin Tyler Construction for Francis Road improvements; PT Pharaoh Construction for resurfacing on Renwick Road and for additional resurfacing in PlaneField Township; LNS Development Group LLC for improvements on Lairway Road; and professional services agreements with AECOM, Hampton Lanzini Renwick, Farnsworth Group and Willlet Hoffman and Associates for various design and signal projects. Several motions included standard motions, seconds and affirmative votes and were carried by the board.
Staff told the board a pre-construction meeting with PT Pharaoh is scheduled for April 21 and reiterated that work will not begin until contracts are fully approved and signed. The board also authorized appropriations for right-of-way costs for the Lairway/US-45 intersection and for the Lairway Road corridor; the transcript lists one appropriation amount as "1,49,940" which appears mis-transcribed in the meeting record and is therefore not specified here, and another appropriation as $973,600.
All contract awards and appropriations on the agenda were approved as presented.
