She also noted the city closed on the sale of the Forest School property last week and that construction crews will mobilize to begin installation of roads, water, sewer and stormwater infrastructure; the Economic Development Director is awaiting a full construction schedule from DREES and will share it with council once available.
The mayor highlighted recent Service Department snow operations (seven trucks on Dec. 30; 14 trucks plus additional call‑outs on Dec. 31) and previewed Senior Center winter programs, including "What's Cookin' Wednesday" on Jan. 14, art programs on Jan. 7 and Jan. 21 and a Wii bowling league starting the week of Jan. 12. Jones closed by thanking staff and residents for their support during the transition to the new year.
