The North Olmsted City Council voted 7-0 on April 15 to approve Mayor Dailey Jones's appointment of Anthony D'Alessandro to the Planning and Design Commission.
Anthony D'Alessandro, who spoke briefly to provide his background and whose résumé includes a master’s degree in urban planning and experience presenting to other planning and design commissions, was recommended by the Mayor and approved by a motion from Councilman Marrie seconded by Councilwoman Gilchrist. The appointment fills an unexpired term running Jan. 1, 2021, through Dec. 31, 2025.
Council members thanked D'Alessandro for volunteering to serve. The committee that reviewed the nomination voted 2-0 to recommend the appointment to the full council before the roll call approval.
The appointment is effective immediately and will permit D'Alessandro to participate in pending reviews and hearings before the Planning and Design Commission.
