Interim Superintendent Jill Pilgalerani told the school committee the district has moved its school building project forward in the MSBA process. "We submitted our preliminary design program (PSR) on August 28th," she said, describing subsequent review steps.
Pilgalerani said the PSR will go to the facilities assessment committee on Oct. 1; after responding to any questions there, the district expects to present to the Massachusetts School Building Authority (MSBA) on Oct. 29. If MSBA approval is obtained the district will enter schematic design with a target schematic submission around February.
Committee members asked about next steps and timelines; Pilgalerani confirmed administration and the school building committee will continue design work and public updates as the project progresses toward schematic design.
