The Finance Committee discussion also included the Alternative Tax Budget for 2026, Then-and-Now certificates and a transfer ordinance; each of those measures was recommended 3-0 by the committee. During committee review, the administration stated it would continue to improve invoice monitoring related to Then-and-Now certificates.
Next steps: Ordinance 2025-59 (the school-purchase ordinance) appears on the Council's second-reading list and will return for further debate and a final vote at a subsequent meeting.
