The commission approved nominations of Josh Weiser (District 5), Brandy Smith (District 3), Zack Kennedy (District 2) and Chase Gan (District 1) by motion; one additional district nominee will be presented next week.
The Purple Heart Trail action was framed as an honorary program to recognize combat‑wounded veterans, with an estimated sign cost discussed (roughly $139 plus post/installation) and staff directed to coordinate the location and veteran‑group participation. The planning and zoning nominations were moved, seconded and approved during the meeting.
Next steps: staff will contact local American Legion and VFW posts about collaboration and will return any remaining appointments for the outstanding district seat at a subsequent meeting.
