Trustees hear police update: promotions planned and body‑camera rollout expected by summer

On body cameras, Mr Dein said cameras are being installed on six units and staff will conduct stress testing with two or three officers over the following week. "We should have them deployed by the last week of the summer, ready to go," he said. Chief (name not provided) confirmed the need for testing and described plans to work out equipment issues before full deployment.
Trustees voiced support during the report; no formal action on staffing or procurement was recorded during the meeting. The board proceeded to other agenda items after the update.
