"The purpose of this is to determine whether this can enhance student safety and also remain operationally efficient," a staff presenter said. Committee evaluations were scheduled across the week, and staff said they expect an update and possible recommendation at the May workshop or agenda meeting. Board members asked only clarifying questions about committee composition and timeline; staff said they could provide committee member roles in the next update but could not discuss procurement specifics while the evaluation is ongoing.
No action or vendor selection occurred at the workshop; staff will return with evaluation results and any recommendations for contract terms.
